As Catlin’s newest underwriting platform, Catlin US encompasses all of the company’s operations in the United States and has the ability to write business both on an admitted and non-admitted basis. The establishment of Catlin US has enhanced Catlin’s product offerings for US customers, offering specialty property/casualty insurance and reinsurance products that complement coverage available through Catlin’s other underwriting platforms. Coverage is underwritten on behalf of Catlin US by the Catlin Insurance Company Inc, an admitted insurer, Catlin Specialty Insurance Company, a non-admitted carrier, as well as the Catlin Syndicate at Lloyd’s of London and Catlin Insurance Company (UK) Limited. Catlin’s US operations carry a rating of “A” (Excellent) XV from A.M. Best as well as a rating of "A" (Strong) from Standard & Poor's.
