Making a splash at NAPSLO

In early October, underwriters from eight Catlin business units traveled to meet with key surplus lines brokers at the annual NAPSLO convention in Atlanta, Ga.

NAPSLO (the National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices) holds an annual convention that draws several thousand members each year who come together for networking opportunities and seminars on hot topics in the industry.

On the opening evening of the convention this year, Catlin treated approximately 100 special guests to a cocktail reception at one of Atlanta’s most visited landmarks, the Georgia Aquarium.

The event kicked off with some welcome remarks by Andrew McMellin, the newly appointed CEO of Catlin US. Andrew provided the crowd with a recap of how Catlin US has seen promising growth over the years and extended a special thanks to the brokers in attendance for their important role in our success. Andrew also touched on the importance of Catlin’s core values that shape our strong company culture. Lastly, Andrew introduced the Catlin Seaview Survey project while he stood in front of the 6.3 million gallon aquarium habitat full of whale sharks, manta rays and thousands of other fish.
